Through our research, we’ve identified two emerging design trends for Fall and Winter of 2026 that encapsulate this drive for genuine experiences while taking bold twists on tradition. We aimed to develop packaging pieces that defy consumer expectations and create moments of accessible everyday luxury.
SUNROOT & STONE
Sunroot & Stone blends free-spirited bohemian vibes with modern elegance. Sculptural shapes, free-hand illustrations, and embossed designs create a rustic yet refined charm. The use of earth inspired textured papers and recycled fiber materials offers consumers a grounded tactile experience that highlights this trend’s roots in the natural world. It’s sunbaked color scheme draws inspiration from nature. Neutral Shades like Macadamia and Basic Brown serve as the cornerstone of this palette. Enriched earth tones like Olive Brine and Enduring Red add warmth and depth, while the addition of softer hues like Pale Heather and Florrid Pink bring forth an airy femininity.
DISRUPTIVE DECADENCE
Disruptive Decadence makes a striking statement through provocative juxtaposition, reimagining packaging classics through disruption, combining angular silhouettes with organic patterns, high shine with matte finishes, and playing with opacities. Leather-like papers, embossed metallic accents, and a moody selection of core colors give this trend an edge while bring a sense of everyday opulence to consumers. This trend anchors itself in sophistication with its opulent color palette. Indulgent shades like Black Jam, Dusted Fig, and Pomegranate Juice set a dramatic, luxurious tone.
